FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

  • The raw lanolin material is sourced from sheep which are farm raised in the clean open pastures of New Zealand. All wool collection is done with gentle precision care by hand, we don’t use machines that could harm or injure the sheep. The process is actually very healthy for the sheep’s coat and our Prolan grease is a natural by-product of wool production.

  • During the initial application of Prolan there may be a slight natural odor. However, once it has cured for roughly 24 hours there is no ongoing odor at all.

  • Not at all, the application cures within 24 hours and is not a food source for bears or other animals.

  • One of the best things about Prolan is that the main ingredient (lanolin) is natural, non-toxic, and non-carcinogenic, to you and to the environment. In fact, all Prolan products are acceptable for food contact and can be used on certified food-safe machinery where natural grease is required.
